Generally, students in Grades 7 and 8 may try out for "A" teams. Students in Grades 5 and 6 may try out for "B" teams. If there are not enough athletes for "A" teams, students from the "B" team may be asked to join the "A" team, subject to academic and disciplinary approval. Students in Grades 3 and 4 may join "C" teams.
Students must maintain a 1.7 G.P.A. (C- average) in all subjects, as well as a "G" or better in Work Habits and Behavior. Student eligibility is reviewed continuously with the coach/athletic director determining player status for each game.
A student must be in school the day of an event in order to participate in either practice or a game. Disciplinary actions or required tutoring supersedes practice or game play.
