​​5.8 Time Off

Employees are provided various types of time off:  paid holidays, accrued vacation, accrued paid sick time and leaves of absence.  A proposed number of paid holidays, vacation and sick time is provided by the archdiocese for all locations other than schools: see: paid holidays, sick​ time, and vacation.  The Department of Catholic​ Schools​ sets guidelines for schools.  Certain locations, including cemeteries and mortuaries, have policies adapted to their operating circumstances.​Other time off, such as for leaves of absence​, apply uniformly to all locations.​  For more information contact Human Resources 213-637-7494.

Locations should include cost estimates for paid holidays, accrued vacation and accrued sick time in their annual budget.
