COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS (7TH & 8TH GRADE STUDENTS)
"To whom much is given, much is expected..." is the philosophy guiding the requirement that all SPBS 8th Grade students complete a minimum of 30 Christian Service Volunteer Hours. In Addition, the 7th Grade is also required to complete a minimum of 15 Service Hours during each school year. Opportunities are provided through the Eighth Grade Homeroom Teacher, and the Eighth Grade Homeroom Teacher will verify completion of the Hours each Trimester: due dates are noted on the SPBS Calendar.
NOTE: Students' Religion grades may be affected by non-completion of Service Hours by the required due date each Trimester.
NOTICE: 7th Graders who have not completed their required Service Hours jeopardize their ability to help coordinate our annual SPBS Olympiad held during the last week of school in June. 8th Graders who have not completed their required hours jeopardize their participation in selected year-end graduation activities. Enforcement of this policy is at the discretion of the SPBS junior high faculty and school administration.
