Students are considered tardy if they are not in their classroom prior to the 8:00 a.m. bell. All students who are tardy must first report to the school office for an "Admit to Class" slip. Repeated tardiness may result in disciplinary action. Morning detentions are issued for six tardies in a trimester. Detentions are scheduled as needed, from 7:15-7:45am for a tardy detention. A “Notice of Detention” will be sent home with the student and must be signed by a parent. It is to be returned the next school day. Punctuality is a by-product of self-discipline; therefore, it is a value that is encouraged and stressed at SPBS.
