Saint Paschal Baylon School is bound by California state law, which requires that each child be immunized against polio, DPT, hepatitis B, mumps, measles, chicken pox, and rubella prior to admission to school, unless precluded by a medical condition/doctor's note. All 7th and 8th graders must also present proof that they have received a whooping cough (Tdap) booster immunization, prior to entering those grades.

All students entering First Grade must submit a Health Screening Entry Form to the school office within 90 days after being admitted to school. Failure to comply may result in the child being excluded from classes until the form is on file. Vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings are conducted by the school. If a child has any physical limitations due to chronic illness or other cause, and/or severe allergies, it is imperative that parents inform the teacher and the school office in writing and indicate the same information on the child's emergency card which is sent home on the first day of school.
