STANDARDIZED TESTING
SPBS adheres to the standardized testing program mandated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles' Department of Catholic Schools. We test all students in Grades K-8 through the STAR Enterprise digital testing program four times during the school year, during “testing windows" mandated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. All students are required to take this test. Test results are shared with parents. The results are used by SPBS to help assess our students in terms of Common Core State Standards for each grade level. In addition, results from this standardized testing program help guide our academic curriculum and are part of the process used to determine whether a student qualifies for our Accelerated/Honors Programs in Grades 6-8. We also administer ARK Assessment religion tests to students in Grades 2-8.
