Communications Procedures

There are three primary means of communication between school and families:

  1. A school-wide e-mail system
    • Emails from The School Office (reserved for important announcements and school business)
    • Emails from SFDS Daily News (news and updates about school events, service projects, calendar reminders, etc.) The SFDS Daily News/Grapevine Newsletter is archived and accessible on password-protected web page:  https://sfdsdailynews.weebly.com
  2. The school website located at www.saintfrancisdesalesschool.com
  3. The online calendar which can be accessed from the school website. The calendar is updated throughout the school year.
There may be times when links to important documents are included in emails from the school. Note that you may be required to print documents and return them to the school office.
Supplemental/secondary sources of communications:
    • Official "school-moderated" social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
    • Room Parent Service Coordinator emails

Parental Cooperation

Because we are in partnership with parents, parental cooperation is essential for the education of students. If it is the opinion of the administration that a parent's behavior seriously interferes with the teaching/learning process, (including gossip that is detrimental to a staff member or a parent's/student's reputation), the school may require parents to withdraw their children and sever the relationship with the school.
