​​Honors / Awards

An HONOR ROLL is calculated for all students in Junior High (grades 6,7, and 8) at the end of each trimester.

1.  To be eligible for "High Honors", students must maintain an average of 3.5 or higher and have at least a "B" in behavior.

2.  To be eligible for "Honors", students must maintain an average of 2.0 - 3.49 and have at least a "B" in behavior.

3.  The subject areas counted are Religion, English, Literature, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics.

4.  Points are accumulated as follows:

  • ​​​A = 4 pts. B = 3 pts. C = 2 pts. D = 1 pt.

5.   Any student who receives a "D" or "F" in any subject (including Art, Music, P.E., or Spanish) is ineligible for any academic award.

6.    Academic Grading Scale:

64% & below



PARENTS and STUDENTS are reminded that "C" is an average grade and is doing what is required. 

"A" is for outstanding work and means going above and beyond​.
