Admission Guidelines
- Preferences shall be given to active members of the parish.
- Under Archdiocesan guidelines for financial considerations, the optimum number of students per classroom is thirty-five (35).
- The recommended age for kindergarten students is five (5) year of age on or before September 1, but required by December 1, unless waived by the administration.
- The recommended age for first grade students is six (6) years of age on or before September 1, but required by December 1, unless waived by the administration.
- All students must comply with current California immunization and health requirements prior to enrollment.
- The parish school will strive to have Catholic education accessible to as many students as possible, both with its educational programs and financial consideration; however, it may have insufficient resources to serve the educational needs of all students.
- The Pastor, Principal and administration will review a student's continued eligibility for enrollment in the parish school
Admissions Requirements
- For all new students, a complete application is required including the following documents:
- Birth Certificate
- Baptismal Certificate/First Communion Certificate
- Current record of immunization and health
- Report card (transfer students only) demonstrating student is on grade level and shows good conduct/effort
- Letter of recommendation from current school (transfer students only)
- Registration Fee
If the child passes the entrance exam and the report card is satisfactory, an interview is required for the child and parents with our administration. Priority is given in the following order:
- Families who are registered and contributing members of St Genevieve Parish
- Catholic families outside of parish
- Non-Catholic families
