In alignment with its School-wide Learning Expectations, St. Augustine School implements a curriculum to develop active members of their faith community.  Daily school life begins and ends each day with prayer.  Students attend Mass each week and participate in Catholic devotions appropriate to the liturgical year.  The sacrament of Reconciliation is made available during the seasons of Advent and Lent.

Participation in Weekly Liturgy

Parents are the primary educators of their children.  Observation of the obligation to attend the Saturday evening or Sunday liturgy as family is one of the central components to faith formation.  Participation in the parish liturgy develops family faith practices and builds kinship in the faith community of the parish.  As Catholic educators, the school sees regular attendance at liturgy as essential to each child's faith development.  Parents are encouraged to fulfill this obligation consistently.

Student Liturgy

Students participate each week at the Wednesday morning, parish liturgy.  This offers students the opportunity to minister at Mass and to join in prayer with the parish community.  Parents are welcome to attend.  This Mass does not fulfill the Church's weekly Sunday obligation.  Please be sure to arrive by 7:30 a.m. on Mass days.
