For short term, excused absences (1-2 days), the academic material that students miss will be given to them when they return to school.  Intermediate and middle school students should work with their teachers to ensure that they are getting all missed work.  For primary grade children, parents may assist in completion with the assignments.  Students will receive full credit for work, provided it is turned in within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the teacher and administration.  Failure to complete the assigned work will receive a 0 as incomplete work.

It is the parents' responsibility to discuss extended absences (3 or more consecutive days) with the teacher and/or administration, at which time, an individual plan for missed work will be created.  Factors such as the nature of the excused absence and the student's ability to complete work will be considered in the planning.  Students will receive full credit for work, provided it is turned in within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the teacher and administration.  Failure to complete the assigned work will receive a 0 as incomplete work.
