The team takes an emergency kit to each game and off-site practice. In the event of an injury, the coach/moderator from the school applies the accident procedure. A staff member or authorized volunteer who has been certified in pediatric first aid will first assess the situation and administer aid, as needed. If injury warrants going home, the child will be released to the guardian on-site, and/or parents or emergency contacts will be notified to pick up their child. If the injury or condition seems severe, 911 will be immediately called, followed by a call to the parent or emergency contact.
