In addition to the administration of teacher composed tests and textbook related tests, a number of standardized tests are given to the children so that teachers may understand each child's needs more thoroughly. This testing program is guided by the Archdiocesan Testing Department and is in accordance with the California State Department of Education. Saint Martin of Tours School will administer the following achievement and ability tests:
- Assessment of Catholic Religious Education (ACRE) Grades 5 & 8
- STAR Reading and Math Assessments TK-8
- Other periodic assessments as prescribed by the Archdiocesan Testing Department
Additional details and schedules will be provided to families during the school year regarding the administration of these tests. Parents are discouraged from scheduling medical / dental appointments for students during standardized testing periods as there are no make-ups for standardized testing.
