Tuition Collection
All school families are required to be registered with FACTS Tuition Management, through which all tuition monies will be paid/recorded. Families paying the annual tuition in full will receive a 3% discount. This lump-sum payment may be made through FACTS or by personal check submitted through the school office which will then be credited to the FACTS account.
Re-Registration
The re-registration process for continuing students begins at the spring mandatory parent meeting. All re-registration materials are sent home at that time to those whose accounts are in good standing.
Refunds
No refunds are given for tuition and fees for the current school year; refunds are only given for any fees paid in advance through FACTS Tuition Management.
Delinquent Payments
The tuition collection service company charges a late fee for past due payments; insufficient fees are assessed for returned checks.
Non-Payment of Tuition
Concerning delinquent tuition, Archdiocese dictates that the principal must:
Be fully informed on the status of tuition collection
Make sure that the parents/guardians are contacted when tuition is in arrears by two weeks
Personally contact parents/guardians after four weeks of non-payment and must inform the parents/guardians of the actions to be taken by the school if payment is not made promptly (i.e., suspension)
Consult with the Department of Catholic Schools before refusing to allow students to take examinations because of payment delinquency. (6.2.3 - Tuition and Fees)
Any missed payment, will result in a call/email from the office; any more than one month in arrears will require a meeting with the principal/pastor. Any further delinquent tuition will be sent to a collections agency unless a tuition repayment plan is approved/agreed upon by the principal/pastor.
In the case of a student who is graduating and whose family is delinquent in payment of tuition fees, participation in graduation activities may be jeopardized. In addition, the archdiocese states that unpaid tuition accounts of former students should be annotated and maintained separately so that, before requests for transcripts in later years are honored, tuition status can be confirmed. If there is an unpaid tuition account, transcripts may not be withheld from another requesting school for kindergarten through 12th grade, but transcripts, report cards, diplomas, and other reporting forms may be withheld from parents/guardians, students, and post-secondary institutions.(6.2.3 - Tuition and Fees)
It is understandable that financial difficulties could arise and parents are invited to make an appointment with the principal/pastor as the situation warrants.
