Academic Probation
Academic probation is dealt with on an individual basis between the principal, teacher(s), parent(s) and student.
Retention
Retention is more successful in primary grades than in later grades; therefore, the primary grade teacher will diligently observe students so that problems may be identified and, if possible, addressed before the pupil reaches the upper grades. Although the opinions of the teacher and parents are significant factors, the final decision to retain a pupil is the responsibility of the principal.
