Parent Service
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) fee is an annual membership fee for each family. This fee is included in the annual registration fee that is collected in June.
“Many hands make light work.” Parent service to the school is a must! Service can be provided throughout the year either during school hours or by assisting PTO fundraisers. Service hours are recorded through the "Track It Forward" link and must be signed off by OLR personnel, a PTO Executive Officer or the event chairperson. If you cannot provide service to the school, you will be billed $40 per remaining hour.
Fundraising Requirements
Fundraising is essential to all that we do and all that we provide for the children at OLR. Each family is required to participate by generating funds. The PTO plans fundraising events throughout the school year, such as: Jog-a-thon, Casino Night, Fall and Spring Opportunity Drawings, Christmas Sees Candy, Spring Event, and much more. We have several opportunities throughout the year that we look for outside sponsorship. This is a great opportunity to have others help you meet your goal! Most businesses are happy to be event sponsors; it is great advertisement for them. If you choose to buy-out of the fundraising obligation, you will be billed for the remaining blance on the FACTS Tuition payment. The fee for Event tickets covers (2) Casino Night Tickets (approx. $60 each) and (2) Spring Events Tickets (approx. $100 each). The event tickets will be deducted by FACTS prior to each event. They do not count toward your fundraising obligation.
All service hours and fundraising obligations are due by May 1 with the exception of Spring Event. Service hours and fundraising associated with Spring Event are due no later than the Monday following the event.
Fundraising credits associated with the Spring Event will be given for Golden Tickets, sponsors, and the winning bid on any silent auction items you donated to the event.
All other Items purchased through the silent auction will not be credited to your fundraising obligation.
“It takes a village to raise a child” and it takes a lot of parental support to run a Catholic school efficiently and effectively.
We challenge you to look at fundraising and service hours, not as an obligation, but as an opportunity, remembering that OLR is not just a school that your child attends, but a place where your whole family belongs."
