Section 7-3 – Tuition Assistance
Bishop Alemany High School offers two applications for tuition assistance for needy and deserving families. Both require that a new application be made each year, even if a student is already receiving assistance. Please visit the “Tuition Assistance" link on the Alemany website for details (Alemany.org → “Admissions" → “Tuition Assistance" → “FACTS – Simple Steps to Enroll in a Payment Plan and/or Apply for Financial Aid Online").
Tuition assistance is available based on demonstrated need. All assistance is provided on an annually renewable basis. Students receiving assistance must maintain a 2.0 GPA and acceptable conduct record. They should also be willing and able to contribute some hours per semester in some form of service to the school.
The application period for tuition assistance starts in October. The admissions process is need-blind, meaning that the committee is not aware of who has applied for tuition assistance when evaluating applicants so that it cannot affect the outcome of a student's application.
- Catholic Education Foundation Tuition Award – This is a direct grant based on financial need and meeting strict income guidelines. An application must be completed and submitted in January. An award is good for one year only and must be applied for each year.
- Bishop Alemany High School Tuition Assistance Award – The school's Tuition Assistance Award provides assistance based on financial need, student scholarship, conduct, and leadership. The link to the application is on the Bishop Alemany High School website through FACTS Management. An award is good for one year only and must be applied for each year.
Students who receive tuition assistance must maintain a 2.0 GPA and adhere to all Bishop Alemany High School rules and policies. Tuition must remain current to qualify for continuing assistance.
