DETENTION
Saturday Service Information (Detentions)
Saturday Services, led by the Director of Character Formation or their designee, occur about once a month, though scheduling may change. Detention lasts 2 hours starting promptly at 6:00 a.m. Students assigned Saturday Service must pay $20.00 upon arrival, which goes to our sister school in South Sudan, Saint Genevieve for Girls or a similar charity.
Payment is required on the day of detention.
Saturday Service takes precedence over other school activities unless otherwise arranged with the Director. Legal Guardians must contact the Director in advance to reschedule for valid reasons.
Students may engage in service activities during Saturday Service, aimed at personal growth and community betterment. This does not count towards mandatory service hours.
Students with three handbook violations may receive Saturday Service; a fourth violation may lead to Saturday Service and a parental conference, possibly resulting in probation. Continued violations on probation may result in withdrawal.
Saturday Service is a disciplinary measure for behavioral issues or policy violations. Non-attendance may lead to suspension until a parental conference is held.
At the start of each school year, every student receives an assigned locker. Using an unassigned locker may result in removal of the lock and school ownership of any items found inside. Lockers are school property and a privilege granted to students.
School authorities may inspect lockers as needed. Students cannot change lockers or use another student's locker without permission from the Director of Character Formation. Lockers must remain neat and usable. Defacing lockers (e.g., writing, stickers) is prohibited, and students are responsible for any damage.
Only school-issued locks are allowed. New students must purchase locks through the Director of Character Formation. Student lunches should be properly sealed and not stored overnight. Only unopened beverages or those with spill-proof lids are permitted.
