When students have satisfactorily completed the approved course of study prescribed by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for Elementary Grades, they are recommended to the administration for promotion to ninth grade, for eighth grade 'graduation'.  Satisfactory is defined as having a cumulative average of “C" and no average “F" in any subject area.  If the student has an average grade of “F" in Language Arts or Mathematics, the student may be retained and required to repeat the grade.  If grades are not satisfactory, but retention does not apply, the student will receive a diploma after they have attended Summer School in an approved course and after presenting the Principal with documentation of passing grades in any subject previously graded “F".
