SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
In Grade 2, students are prepared for their first reception of the sacrament of Reconciliation and in Grade 3 for their First Holy Communion. All students are required to complete the course work, with the non-Catholic students not taking the Sacrament at the end of each year. Students in upper grades who have not received these Sacraments have the opportunity to do so through the Parish Sacramental Program.  Because the basic philosophy underlying the existence of Catholic schools includes the recognition of the parents as the primary religious educators of their children, parents whose children are being prepared for the reception of sacraments during the school year are required to attend special parish meetings to help them prepare their children for the sacraments.  Information regarding these meetings will be sent home and will be listed on the Parish and/or School calendars.
