Procedures for Elections
The Australian ballot system (secret ballot) must be used in all Student Council elections. If more than two candidates or teams run or an office, a primary election will be held one week prior to the general election. The two candidates or teams receiving the highest vote in the primary election shall have their names placed on the ballot for the final election. The regular election of Commissioners shall take place within six weeks prior to the end of the school year.
Requirements: Student must have a current Behavior and Work Habit grade of at least a “G” and at least an 80% average in academics for two of the three trimesters in the election year. These qualifications are in effect during their Student Council term. Commissioners must have attended O.L.L. the prior school year.
