Homework
Teachers in all grades give homework; it is a necessary part of school learning. We ask that
each family provides a quiet, supervised environment for each child to study and do homework
assignments. The following are suggested times that your child should be spending to study
and do homework assignments each evening.
Grades K-2 Approximately 30 minutes
Grades 3-5 Approximately 60 minutes
Grades 6-8 Approximately 60-120 minutes
Although parents are encouraged to assist, when possible, with homework assignments, it is
detrimental to the child and the educational process when parents actually complete the
assignment for the child.
