Campaigning Rules

DO’s:

1. Hang posters no larger than 36”x48” 

2. Make 8.5’x11” (regular sized notebook paper) for posting around campus 

3. Make lapel signs to be worn by students (clothes pins and stickers are okay) 

4. Use appropriate language on ALL signs in keeping with St. Genevieve’s code of conduct 

5. Remove ALL signs/posters by the end of the day of elections 

6. Use BLUE painters tape ONLY, no putty is allowed. 

DON’Ts:

1. Post signs over any other candidate’s signs

2. Use derogatory comments toward your opponents since it will result in your referral to the dean and may also result in your removal from the ballot. 

3. Spend a large amount of money for campaigning (No more than $50 should be spent and receipts should be held for each item being used) 

4. Use gummed labels for sticking on desks or walls 

5. Move or remove another candidate’s signs 

6. Use anything other than blue painter’s tape. No scotch tape, silver tape, etc. CONSEQUENCES: If you choose not to abide by these rules, first you will receive a warning from the ASB Moderator. If you violate the rules a second time, you may be removed from the campaigning process as well as your name from the ballot.​
