2023-2024 UNIFORM GUIDELINES
All students:
Hair
- Must be neat, clean, out of the eyes, and may not fall below the eyebrows in the front
- Must be the child's natural color, no bleach, color, high-lights, frost or tinted hair.
- No exaggerated styles or fads
- Girls' hair accessories may be purchased from Modella or should be school uniform colors: green, navy blue, white, yellow.
Boys:
- Shall be worn in a manner as to be tapered and evenly cut
- Length may not go below the bottom of the shirt collar
- Can extend no longer than the middle of the ear on the sides
- May not exceed three inches in length at any point
- Must be clean-shaven
Administration has the final approval of hairstyles and grooming.
Shoes
- White, black, dark green or navy blue (no shades of blue-green or royal) athletic shoes with shoelaces also in white, black, green or navy blue (no shades of blue-green or royal). New this year - the shoe may include green.
- TK and Kindergarten students may wear shoes with velcro.
- Sandals, boot style shoes and slip-on shoes are not acceptable.
- Converse hightops may be worn.
- No glitter shoes or light-up shoes.
Accessories
- Jewelry is limited to 1 simple watch (NO smart watches) or religious necklace - NO bracelets
- Grade 6 & 7 students may wear one bracelet
- Grade 8 students may wear up to three bracelets
- NO colored nail polish or artificial nails – only clear polish is permitted
- NO make-up of any kind or glitter lotion
- NO dangling or hoop earrings - one matching stud per lower earlobe for girls only.
- We will abide by local Catholic high school guidelines which DO NOT allow for boys to wear earrings.
- NO body piercing or tattoos including fake tattoos or henna
- NO arm or head sweat bands, bandanas or head wear
Mass Days
Mass is attended every Wednesday and all Holy Days of Obligation. On Mass days, students must wear their school uniform. Sports jerseys, student council shirts/sweatshirts, boy scout/girls scout uniforms or any other non-uniform clothing may not be worn. The only exception will be the 8th grade jacket.
TK and Kindergarten
Girls
- Jumper or Skort. Plain white short sleeved, peter-pan collar shirt for under the jumper.
- White or hunter green short sleeved polo shirts with logo
- Navy Blue cardigan sweater with logo for Mass days
- Navy blue twill uniform style long pants or walking shorts appropriately fitted. No leggings, cargo style pants or cargo style shorts. They may be purchased at any department store or Modella.
Boys
- Navy blue twill uniform style long pants or walking shorts appropriately fitted. They may be purchased at any department store. No cargo style pants or shorts.
- White or hunter green knit short sleeved polo shirts with logo
- Navy Blue cardigan sweater with logo for Mass days
Uniform
- Shirts must be long enough to remain tucked in, but not oversized
- Students may wear pants, shorts, skorts, and jumpers on any given day that is not P.E.
- Sweatshirts must fit appropriately and not baggy.
- Students will be expected to be clean and tidy each day.
- Socks – boys and girls may wear white, crew length, solid color. Girls may wear black or white tights ONLY - NO yoga pants, leggings or sweats under the skort or jumper. No other color socks or tights.
P.E. Uniform
The shirt is the TK shirt that was used this past year. It may be purchased at school. The shorts, sweatpants, and sweatshirts may be purchased at Modella.
Outerwear
Students may wear sweatshirts, sweaters and jackets with school logo. Students may continue to wear the navy blue sweatshirt and may also purchase the green one at Modella. Sweatshirts other than St. Elizabeth may not be worn and are not in code with the uniform.
Undershirts
Undershirts may be worn under the uniform, however they must be white. No other color may be worn under the uniform. White turtlenecks may be worn under the uniform shirt during cold weather.
Grades 1-8Girls
- 1-3 Jumper or Skort. Plain white short sleeved, peter-pan collar shirt for under the jumper.
- 4-8 Skirt only

Boys
Uniform
- Skirts, skorts, and jumpers may not be shorter than 3" above mid knee and may not be rolled to shorten
- All pants, shorts, skirts, and skorts must fit in the waistline
- Shirts must be long enough to remain tucked in, but not oversized
- Students may wear pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers on any given day that is not P.E.
- Sweatshirts must fit appropriately and not baggy.
- Students will be expected to be clean and tidy each day.
Socks
Students may wear white, crew length, solid color socks. Girls may also wear black or white tights ONLY - NO yoga pants, leggings or sweats under skirts or skorts. No colored socks. Grade 8 students may wear socks with a logo.
P.E. Uniform
We are transitioning to gray sweatshirt and sweatpants but the green is still acceptable. The P.E. gray sweatshirt may be worn ONLY on P.E. days as well as sweatshirts purchased from the spirit store.
Belts - Navy blue, black, or brown belts required for pants or shorts for grades 5-8, plain belt and buckle.
Outerwear
Grades 1-8 students may wear sweatshirts, sweaters, and jackets with school logo. Sweatshirts other than St. Elizabeth may not be worn and are not in code with the uniform.
- Hoodies may not be worn indoors
- Sweaters, sweatshirts and jackets are not to be worn tied around the waist.
- Eighth Graders are allowed the privilege of wearing a special jacket.

Spirit Store – Items from the spirit store may be worn on P.E. days, free dress days or school spirit days.

Game Jerseys
On game days, students may wear their sport jersey (except on Mass days), tucked in at all times, but must wear the proper school uniform bottoms. Students must abide by
the dress code policy when representing St. Elizabeth Parish School at functions on or off campus.
It is our goal to have a student body that is identifiably St. Elizabeth, especially when noting neatness and “presentability". Please help us attain this goal by cooperating with the guidelines.
