RELIGION PROGRAM AND EXPECTATIONS
Because Holy Angels School is first and foremost a Catholic school, the religion program is its primary focus and adherence to the expectations set by the school is non-negotiable. All students are required to participate in the daily religion classes, as well as attend weekly mass with the school. In addition, school families are expected to participate fully in the life of the parish, including but not limited to attendance at Sunday Mass and offering financial support.

CHRISTIAN LEARNING PROJECT
“Making a difference through actions of caring for others through personal contact, indirect service, or civic action, either in school or in the community, with preparation and reflection.”
Students in grades K-8 are required to participate in a Christian Service Project that is aligned with our Student Learning Expectations. They must participate in one each trimester, for a total of 3 per school year as part of their religion curriculum. The purpose of the Christian Service Project is to encourage the student to gain a deeper understanding of them self and our school wide SLEs, collaborate with their school, and go outside of their immediate family and friends to reach out to others in the community.
Service Project Themes are as follows:
TRIMESTER 1 - SLE ALIGNMENT "A CATHOLIC OF LIVING FAITH" - School wide "Kindness Challenge" that incorporates participating in crafts and volunteering time at local retirement homes.
TRIMESTER 2 - SLE ALIGNMENT "ACCOUNTABLE CITIZEN" - Food drive for a local food pantry.
TRIMESTER 3 - SLE ALIGNMENT "PURVEYOR OF BEAUTY" - Volunteer, collection donations, and complete activities for local animal shelters.
