Leaving School Early
A student may not leave the school before the regular dismissal time without a request from a parent/guardian; the student must be signed out in accordance with the school's standard procedures. The student's reason for leaving school early must be recorded in writing.
Parents should email/call the school office in advance if they are removing the student during school hours. All students leaving school during school hours for appointments or illness must check out with the school office staff. Medical and dental appointments should be made outside of school hours whenever possible.
Students are not allowed to attend any school functions or extra-curricular activities (including sports) on any day that they are absent or go home early due to illness. Failure to comply will result in removal from activity or suspension.
Leaving Campus
At no time during a school day or after school are students allowed to leave the school grounds, even during recess or lunch. Students may not leave the school campus without a parent or supervision after school in the time between school dismissal and practices and return to campus. Students that have after school activities need to remain on school grounds until the child is dismissed from their last activity and is released to their parent/guardian. Or if they have permission to walk/bike home on file, they may do so. The school assumes no liability for instances where students leave the premises in violation of the above policy. Failure to comply with this policy may result in suspension or expulsion from the school.
