St. Brendan School is an active and living expression of Catholic teaching and tradition, which emphasizes scriptural message, community service, and worship centered in Eucharist. The Mission Statement defines St. Brendan School as a faith-based academic institution and affirms the school’s partnership with parents to provide an education for the whole child: spirit, mind, heart, and body.
All aspects of St. Brendan School curriculum are infused with Catholic values, beginning with a high-quality religion curriculum. Prayer in the classrooms is an integral part of the daily routine. Students pray throughout the school day.
St. Brendan School provides regular opportunities for the students to celebrate their faith and Catholic traditions through prayer and the sacraments. Students are encouraged to participate in Mass on a regular basis through attendance, actions and almsgiving. Boys and girls in 4th through 8th grades actively participate as altar servers at all parish Masses, and many students sing in the church choir. Each month, the homeroom teacher and Religion Coordinator work with students from one class to plan and lead the music and liturgy for Wednesday and Sunday Masses in the parish.
First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation are an integral part of the 2nd grade curriculum. During the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, all students participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Recognizing that Catholicism is at the heart of our mission, St. Brendan School students are provided many opportunities to celebrate our shared faith.
