8th-Grade Graduation Requirements
Students in 8th grade must have a passing grade average in all major subject areas in order to be academically eligible for graduation. 8th-grade students must also earn the privilege of participating in any graduation activities by following the point structure set forth in the Graduation Agreement.
To receive a graduation diploma and participate in the graduation activities and ceremony, 8
th-grade students:
- must complete the required curriculum and maintain a grade of C or better in all core subjects in order to be academically eligible for graduation
- must complete ten (10) hours of community service during their 8th-grade school year
- must adhere to the St. Brendan School Honor Code, in order to participate in the graduation activities, baccalaureate Mass and, or graduation ceremony as determined by the administration
In addition, 8
th-grade parents:
- must have all outstanding accounts paid in full before the student will be allowed to participate in graduation activities
- must have completed all service hours or paid for all outstanding service hours by May 31
