Religion Program and Expectations
Mother of Sorrows School promotes the developpment of students' knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith. In addition to Religion classes, students take part in Mass, prayer services, retreats, and daily prayer. Active participation in Sunday worship services at their prospective churches is also encouraged for all students.
The school provides preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion for students in the 3
rd
grade. Completion of Baptism in the Roman Catholic Church is a requirement for participation. Students in grades 4 through 8 who wish to receive these sacraments will collaborate with the school and pastor to facilitate their reception. Students entering school after 3rd grade should inform the office of their desire of sacrament preparation.
