Absence Policy
Upon returning to school after an absence, a written excuse signed by parents/guardians stating the reason for the child’s absence must be presented to the teacher (State of California Education Code.) If a child is absent from school, you must notify the office before 8:30 a.m. The school accepts no liability for a student absent or tardy unless the parent has contacted the school to inform the office that the student will not be in attendance or will be late that day. If a child has been diagnosed as having a contagious disease, (e.g. Chicken Pox, Lice, Pink Eye) kindly notify the office at once so that precautions can be taken and notification sent home if necessary.
