​​Classroom Rules and Discipline Policies

During the first week of school, each teacher will develop classroom discipline procedures with the students. The discussion will include the students’ responsibilities and consequences for the failure of fulfilling these responsibilities. The classroom discipline procedures will be sent to the principal for approval and will be distributed to parents at Back-to-School Night. 

​Maintenance of Effective Discipline

Effective discipline is maintained when there is: 
  • Reasonable quiet and order in the building 
  • Positive correction of behavior 
  • Constant encouragement of acceptable classroom conduct 
  • Firm but fair treatment of students 
  • Consistent follow through

Infractions​

Students in Grades 5 through Grade 8 may receive infractions for not following rules, improper behavior, work habits, tardies, and dress code violations. ​
