Parent-Teacher Conferences
Communication between home and school is essential for student success. Formal conferences may be initiated by either a parent/guardian or a teacher whenever a dedicated discussion regarding a student's academic or behavioral progress is warranted.
Scheduling Appointments: Email is the primary method for requesting and scheduling a conference. Parents should contact the teacher directly via email to arrange a meeting time.
Availability During School Hours: A teacher’s primary responsibility throughout the school day is the direct instruction and supervision of students. Consequently, teachers may not be able to hold conferences—whether in person, by phone, or online—during regular school hours.
Resolving Concerns: While parents may request a meeting with an academic counselor or the Director of Counseling, classroom-specific questions or concerns should first be discussed directly with the course teacher before escalating to counseling or administrative staff.
