The Saint Joseph High School Inclusion Policy is designed
to assist those students who qualify for the college preparatory curriculum but
have learning challenges or disabilities that require minor adjustments for
success. Our policy is aligned with the ADLA Administrative Handbook, Chapter
14 School Inclusion http://handbook.la-archdiocese.org/chapter-14
During the application process, if your
daughter is struggling academically or is disabled, please indicate this in the
student’s application and inform admission personnel who will notify the
Wellness Counselors. The Wellness Counselors will be prepared to evaluate your
daughter’s needs and assure that we have the range of services she requires. A
Support Team Education Plan (STEP) will be initiated for your daughter when
school starts.
See Section 5-09 for more information about our Comprehensive Wellness Program, Wellness Counseling, and STEP.
