School Attendance Procedures:  

Ensuring that your child attends school daily and arrives on time is a serious parental responsibility.  Partner with the school and follow these procedures to ensure the safety of our children.

Morning

• Students may arrive at 7:30 a.m., but not earlier. 

• Supervision on the patio begins at 7:30 a.m. 

• Students go directly to the patio area in front of their classroom.  

• TK and Kindergarten students that arrive between 7:30 – 7:45 will go to the middle of the patio by the avocado tree.  They will be picked up at 7:45 by the teacher or aide and escorted to their classroom.

• First morning bell rings at 7:50 a.m. and the classroom doors are open. 

• Final morning bell rings at 8:00 and students go to the school assembly.

Dismissal

• Without exception, only persons on the student’s emergency card list may sign out the student from school in the office.  

• Walkers:  A note is required for students that walk to or from school.  One note stating that the student will walk for the entire year will suffice for that school year.  It is the parent and child’s responsibility to coordinate when the student should be walking from school.

General Information

• All visitors must check in at the school office.

• Under no circumstances may students leave the school grounds without being checked out from the school office.

• Students may not participate in after-school activities if they have been absent that day.

• Communication:  All communication with the school will be completed either on SchoolSpeak or by phone at 805-937-5571.  The students are not allowed to have their cell phone on them during school hours.  Call the office for any communication needed with the student.
