CLOSED CAMPUS

Parents/Visitors on Camp

To promote increased student safety, we maintain a “closed campus”, therefore:

  • The security gate is closed during school hours, including extended care hours.

  • During school hours, access is by express permission only, including extended care hours.

  • You may be asked to produce a photo ID prior to entry the campus.

  • We reserve the right to deny permission to entry.

  • All visitors and parents are required to proceed directly to the school office upon entry.

  • All visitors and parents are to sign-in at the school office and obtain a visitor badge.

  • Everyone entering our campus will be videotaped and/or photographed for the safety and security of our school community and campus.

No parent or visitor is to go directly to a classroom with a lunch, missing work, etc. All parents or visitors need to report directly to the office to request assistance or sign in and pick up a volunteer badge for volunteer work. Classrooms and teachers should not be interrupted during school hours.

Dismissal is at 3:00. Parents and students are to be off campus by 3:15If you are volunteering in classrooms or office, please sign in BEFORE you go to your area and pick up a volunteer badge so we have an accurate count of who is on campus at any point in time.

At the end of recess and lunch, students are to stop all activity and conversation when the bell rings, then walk to the designated area when signaled by teachers or aides. All drinks and bathroom needs should be handled before the end of recess or lunch period, not after the bell has rung.

AT NO TIME MAY A STUDENT LEAVE THE SCHOOL GROUNDS WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION. THIS IS A SERIOUS OFFENSE. This includes before, during or after school. Student may not go across the street to the mini-mart during school and after school events. Failure to obey this rule will result in suspension, removal from an after school activity, or expulsion.

Students who walk or bicycle home must have a written authorization on file in office. Permission may not be given verbally.
