Families will be asked to give reasons for enrolling students in St. Joseph the Worker School and to commit to certain parental obligations as described below.

  • Because tuition, fees, and fundraising are not sufficient to cover the operational costs of the school, many extra programs are staffed by volunteers. Therefore, parents commit to fulfilling their Service Hour and Fundraising obligations to meet and offset the needs of the school.
    • Each family is required to contribute 40 hours of service to the school. Unfilled service hours are billed at $25 per hour in May.
      • No more than half of these hours may be met through service to the Parish.
      • Parish service must be pre-approved by the administration.
    • Each family is required to contribute fundraising based on the number of students in the family enrolled at St. Joseph the Worker School.
      • Families with one student contribute $400 fundraising profits per year.
      • Families contribute $100 fundraising profit for each additional child.
      • Each familiy is required to contribute to two (2) classroom auction baskets per child
    • Each family is required to attend three (3) mandatory Parent-Teacher meetings held throughout the school year.
  • Parents will be asked to demonstrate, at the time of registration, their support of the school’s philosophy and programs by committing to the following:
    • Attending Mass with your child(ren) on Sundays.
    • Attending Mass on Holy Days of Obligation (if Catholic).
    • Financially supporting St. Joseph the Worker Parish through the use of weekly envelopes.
    • Encouraging your child(ren) to learn by providing an environment suitable for home study.
