St. Augustine School is a parochial school, and therefore an integral part of the parish community.  The parish sees the school as a place of formation and serves as a microcosm of the larger Catholic world.  The school works with and for the parish which serves them in the practice and growth of their faith.  The administration of each is linked and interdependent in their missions to evangelize and serve the larger world.

For this reason, school families are called upon to participate in Parish liturgies, as well as to help with and to attend Parish events and activities.  Similarly, the parish actively supports the school in celebrating liturgies, attending school events, and assisting with the school's needs.

Right to Make Exceptions

The principal, in consultation with the pastor (for a parish school), retains the right to make exceptions in cases where mitigating circumstances call for a different response than policy suggests.
