MISSION

Accepting the call to teach as Jesus taught, we offer a quality Catholic education in a secure, stable, and nurturing faith community that affirms the uniqueness and dignity of each student and encourages all to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

PHILOSOPHY

Saint Cecilia School is a Catholic elementary school that is centered in the Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ. We seek to integrate the Gospel message in our curriculum and provide students with an opportunity to experience a Catholic Faith Community.

We acknowledge the family as primary educator and first to communicate the Faith to children. As Catholic educators we serve as partners of the family in facilitating learning and helping our students to reach their potentials as persons and Christians. We accept each student where he/she is academically, socially, physically, and emotionally, and we work with the family to awaken within each student his/her self-esteem, self-worth, personal responsibility, and love for God, neighbor, and self.

Our academic standards prepare each student for the future. We place students at the center of the learning process. The instructor’s role is to carefully plan, monitor, and guide the learning process to ensure that it is developmentally appropriate and meaningful to the students.

We acknowledge all students as unique individuals with differing backgrounds, cultures, abilities, needs, interests, and learning styles. Recognizing that students learn in a variety of ways, our teachers strive to meet their needs by incorporating a variety of methodologies and activities in the lessons.
