Academic Probation

Any student who receives two “Fs” on a semester report card will be placed on Academic Probation for the semester following the Fails. Students on academic probation will be required to adhere to the stipulations outlined in their individual Academic Probation contracts. Failure to uphold these conditions may result in academic dismissal from school.

  • A student may also be placed on Academic Probation by the administration if the student’s GPA falls below a 2.0 or if the student consistently exhibits poor academic progress and motivation and fails to show improvement.

After - School Mandatory Tutoring

Students on Academic Probation or those earning grades of “D” or “F” on their quarter or semester report card will be required to attend After - School Mandatory Tutoring for a minimum of one grading period or until the grades have improved to an acceptable standard. Failure to regularly attend tutoring may constitute a violation of the Academic Probation contract and may result in dismissal from school.

Academic Dismissal

A student who earns three fails in a single school year or who has a cumulative academic record below 2.0 may be ineligible to return to school for the following year. In addition, any student whose record remains more than 15 credits deficient at the end of the academic semester will be asked to withdraw from the school.  Exceptions may be made where serious illness or an accident make it impossible for the student to achieve passing grades.
