St. Timothy School is a diverse community of compassionate global citizens committed to social justice, innovation, and academic excellence.​​


St. Timothy School was established in 1958, in West Los Angeles in the Rancho Park area, between Century City and Santa Monica.  We are a Catholic private school, Pre-K-8th grade with extended day c​are, fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.  Our school seeks to inspire each student to assume his/her unique role as a child of God.  We recognize the importance of teachers and parents, as the primary educators, in developing our students to their maximum potential.  Our school goals embrace the spiritual, intellectual, social, aesthetic, physical and psychological needs of the students we serve.  Emphasis is on excellence in education with high expectations of student achievement, Catholic/Christian values, and liberal arts.  ​​The principal and faculty of St. Timothy School are committed to these goals:

SPIRITUAL

  • to instill Catholic/Christian values and guide students to a meaningful relationship with God through the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church
INTELLECTUAL
  • to provide a balanced curriculum according to individual needs
  • to build a strong base for lifelong learning
  • to develop techniquesof critical thinking, analysis and logic
PSYCHOLOGICAL
  • to develop positive attitudes, self-esteem, confidence and social and emotional security in each student
  • to be able to accept strengths and weaknesses in ourselves and others
SOCIAL
  • ​to develop self-discipline and good citizenship within the school, home and community
  • to foster an appreciation and respect for ourselves and others, within a diverse and inclusive culture that respects ​our American democratic principles
PHYSICAL
  • to develop physical skills related to growth and development for individual and team sports stressing values of good sportsmanship
  • to develop acceptable and important standards of good nutrition, health and hygiene
