ST. CATHERINE LABOURÉ SCHOOL GENERAL ADMISSION POLICY

All incoming students for grades 2-8 are academically tested and will, upon satisfactory performance, be admitted as follows:

  1. Students whose families are registered and active parishioners in St. Catherine Labouré parish will have preference.
  2. If room is available, transferring Catholic School students whose families register in the parish and become active will be accepted.
  3. If room is available, other students who live within parish boundaries and who by their behavior and attitude demonstrate an acceptance of the St. Catherine Labouré School philosophy will be admitted.
  4. If room is available, other students who live outside of parish boundaries and who by their behavior and attitude demonstrate an acceptance of the St. Catherine Labouré School philosophy will be admitted.

Transferring students must have average grades or above in academic subjects as well as conduct and effort grades (A-C). Baptismal certificates, the child's current report card and copies of standardized test results (when available) must be presented before a student will be tested.

Parents are asked to agree to actively support the spiritual, academic and disciplinary standards of St. Catherine Labouré School.  Final approval of the principal is necessary before admission. All new students are placed on academic and conduct probation for at least one term during which time school staff, student and parents will work towards a successful adjustment to St. Catherine's school life and standards.
