A certified,
credentialed educational psychologist is on faculty at St. Catherine Labouré
Elementary School one day per week. The role of the school psychologist is to
provide counseling support to students and parents, and to conduct academic
screening and assessments as deemed appropriate by the faculty and/or
administration of this school and approved by the student’s parents. Parents of
students who have been referred to our school psychologist will meet with the
psychologist upon completion of the report. Using the recommendations from the
report, parents will be required to develop and submit a plan to implement
these recommendations, at their expense, within two weeks of the scheduled
meeting. If there is no plan or follow-up to the recommendations, the child
will assume a probationary status at our
school.
