The Elementary School Leadership Council is comprised of the superintendent of elementary schools, assistant superintendents of elementary schools, directors, and 18 principals (elected by the deanery and from each of the pastoral regions of the archdiocese). The purposes of the council are to:
Act as an advisory committee to the superintendent of elementary schools in matters of school operation
Receive suggestions and/or concerns on school-related issues from the principals and present these to the Department of Catholic Schools in regular meetings
Act as a channel of communication to and from the principals to the leaders in the Department of Catholic Schools
Serve as a task force for special educational projects cooperatively planned with the Department of Catholic Schools
