As communities of faith formation, evangelization and catechesis, Catholic schools impart information and support and encourage formation according to circumstances of place, culture, and times. Evangelization most easily occurs when students see and hear the Gospel message through the actions and words of genuinely faith-filled, committed faculty, staff and administrators and other students in the school community (see To Teach as Jesus Did: A Pastoral Message on Catholic Education; see the National Directory for Catechesis).
