​5.9.3 Promotions

The archdiocese wishes to make the fullest possible use of an employee’s skills and provides opportunities for promotion. For this reason, employees wishing to be promoted will be considered in filling vacancies, based upon their qualifications, ability, past performance reviews, and current performance.

A promotion is defined as moving from one position to another position in a higher pay grade. An employee must have attained regular e​mployment status​ and have worked in his or her position for at least six months to be eligible for a promotion.
