5.9.4 Transfers and Relocations

A transfer is defined as moving from one department to another for the same employing location.  At the Archdiocesan Catholic Center, ordinarily, employees should be in their position for at least six months before applying for a transfer and submit an Internal Transfer Application to the Human Resources Department. All transfers require approval of the appropriate persons in charge.

Employees who move to another location or corporate entity are formally terminated by their current employing location and accrued vacation is paid out.  However, these relocating employees retain their seniority for retirement plan purposes.  For the effect of a relocation on other benefits, contact the Human Resources Department

Employees of the Archdiocesan Catholic Center and cemeteries and mortuaries will no longer participate in the State Unemployment Insurance and State Disability Insurance programs if they relocate to another archdiocesan location.
