6.8.1 Hotline for Reporting Financial Misconduct or Fraud

The archdiocese has contracted with EthicsPoint™ to provide a confidential hotline service that enables individuals to report any concerns (anonymously if desired) regarding financial or accounting misconduct or fraud in the archdiocese. Both the hotline and the reports are confidential and are maintained by EthicsPoint™. Individuals can submit reports to EthicsPoint™ by telephone at 855-420-8644 or via the website.

When EthicsPoint™ receives a report, it transmits the information received to a limited number of authorized recipients in the Office of Financial Services who will take appropriate responsive steps, depending on the nature of the concern expressed in the report.

The hotline is strictly for reporting instances of suspected financial, accounting or auditing misconduct at the archdiocese. All other areas of concern, such as personnel or employment issues, clergy matters, and Victims Assistance Ministry issues, that are received by the hotline will be redirected to their respective and appropriate areas (e.g., personnel or employment issues will be directed to the senior director for human resources and the director's email address and phone number are provided on the site). Calls to the hotline that require redirection to the appropriate area may encounter delays in response. Therefore, reporters are encouraged to direct their concerns to the correct person or department instead of calling the EthicsPoint™ hotline about non-financial matters.
