7.3.2 Responsibilities for Maintenance and Building Projects

​​​The location shall consult with the Construction Department to determine the percentage of the annual budget that must be dedicated to the proper maintenance and repair of the buildings, grounds, furnishings, and equipment. It is the responsibility of the person in charge to:

  • Identify and prioritize needs for replacement and repair of structures, systems,  and equipment 

  • Review and follow the Archdiocese of Los Angeles construction Project Checklist based upon the size of the project and note the approval process required​​ for all projects over $30,000

  • Assure that all contractors have the appropriate licenses and insurance for the nature of the work to be done

  • Identify and consult with the Constru​ction Department​ on any projects that have the potential to create environmentally hazardous events, including any project that might involve asbestos-containing floor tiles, insulation and other products, lead-based paint, lead-containing materials, or mold
