Letter from the Pastor

Welcome to the new School Year of 2026-2027!

I would like to offer a special “Welcome Back" to all our returning students and their families. I would also like to give a special welcome to all our new students and their families. It is good to have you all as a part of our Saint Paschal Baylon Community.

After several months of subdued activities here at St. Paschal's, it is always exciting to welcome everyone back and to fill our school halls with the joyful sounds of children at play as well as the excitement of learning.

I hope and pray that you all had a wonderful summer break and are now ready to once again embark on this new academic year. With the world changing around us very quickly there are new things to learn. We are forever challenged to respond to our changing world, and to find answers to the many questions and situations that will develop in the years ahead.

May this new school year truly be a year of blessings for everyone here at Saint Paschal's. May our patron saint, Paschal Baylon, watch over each and every one of you throughout this new school year.

With every good wish and prayer,

Father Michael Rocha

Pastor

Letter from the Principal

Dear SPBS Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Saint Paschal Baylon School!

I'm so excited to share our faith theme for this year: 'A Year Celebrating Our Call as Catholics.' Over the next several months, we'll be helping our students discover what it really means to live out their faith every day, whether that's through prayer, simple acts of kindness, or serving others. Our big goal is to help each child see their unique, God-given gifts and share that joy with those around them. We're so grateful to partner with you at home, and I can't wait to see how our school family grows closer to God and to each other this year!

Contained here in the SPBS Parent/Student Handbook are the procedures, expectations, and policies for our school year, including specific aspects from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Department of Catholic Schools.  Therefore, please be sure to read this handbook carefully, and use it as main resource to aide in answering questions you may have throughout the year.  In addition, there is a Parent Handbook Agreement which must be signed and returned to the school by September 11th, 2026

Your child's Catholic education is a partnership between the home, school, and church.  I appreciate the choice you have made in enrolling your children here at Saint Paschal Baylon School.  They are your greatest gift from God, and it is not taken lightly that you have entrusted them with us to educate and form them into the individuals they will become.  I look forward to a wonderful, yet sometimes challenging year, as we work together to provide a strong educational foundation for your children, and fulfill our mission of creating the Catholic leaders of tomorrow.

Together in Faith,
