Admission Requirements
All Admission Requirements must be met before a student can be considered. The principal and pastor determine all admission decisions. Testing results will help to determine a student's academic and social readiness.
Parent Expectations
- Parents are expected to support religious instruction with active participation in school and parish activities, for example, weekly attendance at Mass and support of sacramental programs
- Completion of required service hours
Student Expectations
- Evidence of a Christian attitude
- Acceptance of school regulations in all areas, academic and social
- Proficient completion of course of study
Age Requirements
- Children applying for TK must be 4 years old by September 1st
- Children applying for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1st
- Children applying for 1st grade must be 6 years old by September 1st
- Children applying for 2nd grade must be 7 years old by September 1st
To be considered for admission, the following documents must be completed:
- Completed Admissions Application
- Current photograph of applicant
- Application fee
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Up-to-Date Immunization Records
- Copy of Baptismal Certificate
- Copy of First Holy Communion Certificate, if applicable
- Most recent report cards; multiple years if applicable
- Standardized test reports; multiple years if applicable
- Letter of recommendation from current preschool (if applying for Kindergarten)
- Letter of recommendation from current school (if applying for 1st grade or higher)
- Academic readiness exam (given at St. Brendan School)
Acceptance to St. Brendan School- All new students are admitted on conditional status for one year. Student progress is monitored and reviewed regularly for continued attendance
